How to Insulate Flat Roof London
A London flat-roof insulation installation showing a vapour barrier, insulation boards and EPDM membrane.
The insulation boards are laid over the vapour barrier and cut to fit the roof. This installation uses 150mm boards; the correct thickness and specification should always be confirmed for the individual roof and current requirements.
The finished roof uses an EPDM membrane laid over the insulation boards. The installer describes using a single sheet on this roof, which can reduce joints, but the details around edges, outlets and junctions still need careful preparation.
